"ARTet" is the name of the latest project of the BraZilian composer Márcio Tubino, which is to say "a free formation for art".
The everyday life of the world, in which all countries are interconnected, is the heart and the inspiration of his new CD. The record connects many musicians from different countries:
Wolfgang Lackerschmid (Augsburg - Germany), Carlo Mombelli and Tlali Makhene (Johannesburg - South Africa), Paula Santoro and Fred Martins (Rio de Janeir - Brasila) and many more have given their musical contribution to this CD, completed by inserts of sounds from Qatar and Sri Lanka, which Márcio Tubino has collected on various journeys, as well as texts from authors from Bavaria (Herbert Schneider, texts on the track "Onde Todos Estão") and Southern Brazil (Luis Fernando Verissimo, in the booklet).

The Brazilian Márcio Tubino has been living in Munich for many years, where he is one of the most sought jazz musicians. As saxophonist, flautist, percussionist as well as composer and arranger he was working with important musicians of the European jazz scene. With artists such as Dusko Goykowitch, Egberto Gismonti, Wolfgang Lackerschmid, Paulo Cardoso, Alegre Corrêa, Joe Zawinul (as guest musician in Vienna), Jenny Evans, Peter Schneider and The Stimulators and many others, Márcio Tubino was touring around Europe, Asia, South America, and the US. From his compositions originate 7 CDs with several formations so far, among them the "Tukamama" project together with Martin Kälberer (Fine Music/GLM 2010, FM 147).
