| Martin Kälberer is a magician on the piano - his fingers literally dance over the keys. Improvisational songs are characteristic for his music.
As congenial partner of Werner Schmidbauer he has toured all over the world for twelve years being in great demand in many different projects. Whether with Willy Astor´s "Sound Of Islands", the Brazilian saxophonist Márcio Tubino (TUKAMAMA), the singer and guitarist Zélia Fonseca or the Chinese group "WuXing" - whether on the accordion, on the piano or on one of the many other curious instruments, Martin Kälberer feels at home in many musical worlds. Now he´s presenting his latest production "Between The Horizon". Inspired by the terrestrial versatility Martin Kälberer draws his very own musical scenery. Mysterious, meditative melodies resonate out of silent sounds of percussion closing in a play of complex colours and pattern. The piano functions as the golden thread intertwining the single elements. Wafting and listening to every note he gives birth to special soundscape with a variety of instruments on the stage casting a spell over the audience. |
