Tenor saxophonist Stan Getz, who died in 1991, was one of the first who connected the North American Cool Jazz with the vibrating pulse of Brazilian rhythm. The result was the Bossa Nova whom he and the female singer Astrud Gilberto leveraged to world wide fame. Tailored to the chosen tracks you can hear an instrumentation with reduced blower instrumentation and additional guitar on this release of Mind Games.
