The steady beat of the alarm clock can be replaced with any percussion instrument (wood sticks, cowbell etc.). Also a xylphone or similar instrument can take over the part of the vibraphone, as long as they are in the same tone pitch. It is important tht the three-beat-meter exactly overlays the 4/4 time, so that they meet again on the "one" after each three bars. Except for part B (tacet) the vibraphone plas the same pattern all the time. The main voice can be played by any melody instrument, so this edition includes sheet music for B-flat (clarinet, trumpet, soprano- and tenor-saxophone) and for E-flat (alto- and baritone-saxophone) as well as the original in C. |
