| In the sheet music on hand the original recording of Mia Bella of the CD Quadro Nuevo "Buongiorno Tristezza" (FM 104) is written down in notes.
Mia Bella is a dreamy serenade, which can be played from medium tempo up to a very slowly paced tempo. The piece is suitable for a quintet (as in the original) as well as for a quartet instrumentation. In the beginning the main voice is played by the accordion and later (after bar 11) the violoncello takes over. The descant (in the score saxophone written down in C) is presented in different versions, so the piece can be played with various instrumentations: a voice in B-flat (for clarinet, trumpet, soprano or tenor saxophone), a voice in C (for flute and violin) and a voice in E-flat (for alto or baritone saxophone). If required, the violoncello voice can be replaced either by the guitar (bar 1-10) or by the accordion (after bar 11). C, E or G would bring the melody to suitable end (bar 28). The choice is up to the player. |
